My blast from the past movie this week is one of my brother's all-time fave movie (hehe) - Mars Attacks!
Every time my brother and I hear would hear the opening notes of Tom Jones's song "It's Not Unusual", we'd just burst out laughing because of this movie.. Then you'd hear us talking like the Martians while just laughing like crazily.. Yeah, my brother and I can be pretty silly sometimes.. You should hear us with our own version of Independence Day quotes, LOL!
Back to the movie..
This was simply one goofy movie.. It has a star-studded cast that didn't try to out-act each other.. Instead, they showed us that they're capable of not taking themselves too seriously.. Also, it was great to see a young and deadpanned Natalie Portman (I'm such a big fan!)
It was of course the Martians who stole the movie, what with their silly antics and their two-facedness.. Their meanness was, for me, shown the best when they tried to get their giant laser gun as close to Grandma as possible as silently as they can.. Teehee..
Just don't take this movie seriously and you'll enjoy it..
All in all, all I can really say is Ack! Ack!
